ABOUT SCIT :

Symbiosis Center for Information Technology (SCIT) is a premier IT
B-School located in India’s most futuristic IT city Pune, at Rajiv
Gandhi IT Park, Hinjewadi. SCIT is part of the Symbiosis family of

ABOUT TECHIE KAUN :

Symbiosis Centre for Information Technology (SCIT) celebrates it’s
foundation day on August 3rd, giving a platform for it’s Annual
Techno-Management festival - Techie Kaun ’07.

The event as a whole is a wonderful learning experience which provides
the participants with a lot of learning, enables them to bend their minds
to explore & motivate them to implement their own ideas…

Technology Quiz ( Techo Mind )
Technology quiz is designed to test your knowledge on just about any topic
under the sun. The questions are challenging without appearing impossible, the
right proportion of knowledge served with liberal doses of plain old fun.


Business Quiz ( B - In - Quizitive )
This is one of the biggest quizzing events of Techie Kaun? 2006. The business
quiz invites participants to take part in an ultimate brain-storming session to
put your knowledge and business intuition to the test.


Case Study ( Case - a - Franca )
Dazzle the world with your intelligence & then enjoy the indulgence they
shower on you. Analyze cases on the spot & show everyone what you are made
of. If they can support the ‘why’ with ‘how’ & complement it with ‘when’, then
it may be their very first step to glory…


OS Maze ( Oasis Hunt)
This is a game which provides absolute entertainment & tests your IQ to the
maximum. It is more like a treasure hunt in MS Windows and requires an in &
out knowledge of Windows Operating System


Network Troubleshooting ( Net Set Go )
We will have a file on a system on a network. One needs to access that file
using concepts of Networking and Network Security.The process may include
hacking a system, decrypting coded clues, network trouble shooting…


Programming ( Kode Kombat )
The programmers will be given a problem & a limited time to code it. The
programs will be judged on their efficiency & performance. The fact that one
need have no prior preparation makes this event witness a huge turnout of
programming wizards. The on the spot software contest is the ultimate
challenge for the upcoming wiz-kids of tomorrow.


Gaming Playoffs ( Head Shot )
“A Shotgun and a box of shells, this is your new existence… survival has bred

Paper Presentation ( Papyrus Prerna )
It is a Technical paper presentation contest. A team of experts from the industry and academic institutions will judge the papers (abstract) that are submitted by participants prior to the event. The selected papers would be presented (by the concerned group) during “Techie Kaun? 2007” contest.
